What will you learn?
By the end of this course, you will be able to:

  • Understand the ILO Decent Work Agenda: Describe the four main components of the ILO’s Decent Work Agenda: Employment Creation, Social Protection, Rights at Work, and Social Dialogue, and explain how these components are implemented within the context of Ethiopia.

  • Enhance your knowledge and awareness: Identify the rights and duties of workers and managers under Ethiopian labour law, and recognize the importance of decent work principles and their impact on sustainable economic growth and personal well-being.

  • Develop Practical Skills: Apply knowledge of decent work principles to real-world scenarios in Ethiopia and identify concrete steps for the implementation of decent work practices in your own sphere of influence (your school, your workplace, your family, your community).

  • Improve your leadership and instructional skills: Enhance leadership and instructional skills, fostering a culture of decent work within your organization, and equip TVT students and fresh graduates with the necessary skills and knowledge to enter the workforce confidently and competently.

  • Promote Behavioral Change: Raise awareness and drive behavioral change towards decent work practices among your peers and within your community, and advocate for and contribute to creating a fair and equitable work environment through informed actions and decisions.

How much time do you need to invest?
It will take you about 6 hours to complete the full course. Each module takes between 20 to 60 minutes. You can stop and take a break at any time, and restart from where you have left off.
